What
is Maxinote
?
Whether
you are creating messages or simply
jotting down notes you can now
input
text using Maxinote's fast and
friendly on-screen keypad.
The Maxinote design allows you to
keep your focus predominantly on the
screen while
performing the majority of input
actions using your mobile's
navigational key.

Intuitive
Interface
Maxinote's
unique and intuitive design means
you only have to remember two
things:
short
key presses
and
long key presses
A
short key press is used to
enter text or navigate the Maxinote
pink cursor.
Holding down the same navigation key
for two seconds represents a long
key press,
and will instruct Maxinote to
perform a secondary action. A
long key press is used
for
switching to a different mode or
screen location.
For
example,
A long key press <up>
will move your cursor
up into the Standard-Editing-Mode.
A long key press <down>
will move your cursor back
down into Maxinote-Mode.
A
long key press <right>
will move your cursor
over to the HotText group.
A long key press <left>
will move your cursor
back to the keypad.
Finally,
A long <enter>
key press on the alpha-keypad will
change the case of a letter.
A
long <enter> key press
on a custom character or HotText
cell will enable you to edit the
cell content.

It's
as simple as that!
(See table at bottom of page
for the full list of key press
actions).
Efficient
Texting
Maxinote
aims to improve your texting
efficiency by:
- Reducing
the need to continually divert
your eyes away from the screen.
- Eliminating
the pause required between
multi-tap key presses on the
same button.
- Reducing
the amount of time needed to
access non alpha-numeric
symbols.
- Reducing
the amount of time spent
retyping common words such as 'the',
'and', 'what' 'when'
etc.
Storage and Security
If
you ever wanted to store sensitive
details on you mobile phone but were
afraid of it being accessed
by someone else if lost, Maxinote takes care
of that too. Text
can be saved in either plain or
secure
(encrypted) form should you wish to store
sensitive information such as
passwords, PIN numbers,
credit card
details, etc.
Secure notes are encoded using Bruce
Schneier's (up to 448-bit)
Blowfish encryption algorithm.
(For a simplified explanation of
448-bit encryption ..read
here.)

Friendly
& Flexibility
To
further optimise your texting
experience Maxinote can be
customised to best suit your needs.
You can even hide the Maxinote
keypad if desired and use your
mobile phone's standard input
methods
(multi-tap or predictive text) whilst taking advantage of
the other available features.
Each
menu option is described in the
Maxinote help section.
(See Options->Misc->Help in
the
main menu).
